- Used in herbal medicine to improve digestive functions and to support liver functions and as a diuretic.
WARNINGS: Consult a health care practitioner if you are taking diabetes medications or psychoactive medications. Discontinue use if contact triggers dermatitis. Consult a health care practitioner before prolonged use.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Do not use if you have kidney or liver disease or if you have allergies to the asteraceae or compound families. Do not use in case of heart disease. Do not take if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use in cases of inflammation of the gallbladder, common bile duct obstruction or intestinal obstruction, cancer of the common bile duct or pancreas, hemolytic anemia, intestinal spasms, liver cancer or 'liver disease.
Dosage (Adults): Take (15 mL) or one tablespoon, twice daily. Once before breakfast and once before bedtime.
